The semester house cup for Applied Graphic Design. Four houses. You drop a plate. The school inks it or crops it. Your ink feeds the house. Live cup name is The Masthead. Printed prize is The Register — hold it, put it in a book.

We want more work on the wall and critique people actually show up for. Fake names so the plate gets judged, not the person.

Bragging rights first. Award second. Winning house gets The Register printed; those plates become the department’s next recruitment face — hallway, glass case, postcard to high schools. Optional shop day can be a quiet line.

Each person has a profile and an individual rank. Personal ink sums into the house total. The house with the most points at semester end takes The Masthead.

02 // WEEKLY SHOTS

Ink + Crop

Read the brief. Drop that plate. Peers vote Ink (keep) or Crop (cut). Your rank is the ink you earned. That rank feeds the house.

03 // THE SEPARATIONS

Three plates. CMYK.

After three plates The Separations reads pixels into Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, or Key. Ignore near-white. Dark / low-value goes Key. Bright chroma splits C/M/Y. Rounds of four; a house that takes three sits the next three.
